യു.എ.ഇയുടെ കിഴക്കൻ തീരദേശത്തെ പരമ്പരാഗത കടൽ വിഭവങ്ങളെയും കടൽത്തീര ജീവിതരീതികളെയും ആഘോഷമാക്കാനാണ് ഈ മേള രൂപകൽപന ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. രാജ്യത്തെ പരമ്പരാഗത മത്സ്യ വിഭവങ്ങളായ ‘ജഷെ’, ‘സഹ്ന’ എന്നിവയുടെ നിർമാണവും ഉണക്കമീൻ തയാറാക്കുന്ന രീതികളും നേരിട്ട് കണ്ടറിയാൻ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇവിടെ സൗകര്യമുണ്ട്.

Sharjah: First ever Jashe and Sahna Festival organized at Kalba in Sharjah has got enthusiastic start, report says. Fair started on Thursday will last four days. Huge crowd experiencing to see traditional marketing-cultural fair. Festival lasting till September 27 is jointly organized by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry SCCI and Kalba Municipality. SCCI Director General Muhammed Ahmed Ameen Al Awadhi clarified that more than 85 local families, 10 government institutions, and six prominent companies related to fishing equipment and fish processing are actively participating in fair. Fair designed to celebrate traditional seafood and coastal lifestyles of UAE's eastern coast. Public has facility to directly see and understand making of traditional fish products Jashe, Sahna and methods of preparing dried fish.
